Joivy Student Housing License
Submission of the Summer 2026 Registration Form with housing included or your acceptance of an assigned space or a room key signifies your agreement to and acceptance of all of the terms of this License.
1. License
This License is for use of an assigned room in the housing facility, Joivy Asnières Coliving (hereafter JAC) and its common spaces, facilities, and furnishings. For the purpose of this license, JAC has made available rooms in their residence hall to Paris College of Art’s students.
2. Eligibility
You must be a PCA student enrolled in a 2-week Summer Program (credit or audit option), and meet all other eligibility requirements for housing set by PCA throughout the License Period or PCA will have the right to terminate this License, at it s sole discretion.
3. License Period
This License is for Summer 2026 sessions 1, 2 and 3. The License Period begins on
Session 1: Sunday, June 14, 2026 and ends no later than Saturday, June 27, 2026,
Session 2: Sunday, June 28, 2026 and ends no later than Saturday, July 11, 2026,
Session 3: Sunday, July 12, 2026 and ends no later than Saturday, July 25, 2026,
unless this License is canceled or terminated earlier as specified below. Your License Period cannot be changed from these dates unless approved in writing by PCA.
4. Cancellation of License
Students may not cancel their JAC housing after May 1st, 2026 for any reason.
Housing Reimbursement Schedule:
Before midnight (CET), April 15th, 2026: 100% of Housing fee
Between April 16th, 2026 and May 1st, 2026: 50% of Housing fee
After May 1st, 2026 midnight (CET) : 0% of Housing fee
5. Termination of License by PCA
PCA reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to terminate this License, to suspend you from student housing, t o postpone or cancel the assignment of any space, or to postpone the commencement of the License Period (A) if you fail to pay any sum due under this License when due, violate any other term of this License, cease to be a PCA student, or fail to occupy or improperly vacate the assigned space; (B) if you violate any term of this License or the policies and regulations of PCA (see section 9); or (C) for any other reason that PCA, in its sole discretion, deems to be good cause. Upon termination of this License or suspension from student housing you are required to immediately vacate the assigned space and return all keys and/or access cards. In the event this License is terminated, or you are suspended from student housing, PCA may take any and all action (including litigation) to remove you from the assigned space. If this License is terminated because of your failure to perform fully any of your obligations under this License, you will continue to be responsible for all fees due under or as a consequence of this License for the entire original License Period.
6. Occupancy and Use
(A) You alone must occupy your assigned space during the License Period. (B) You may not transfer or assign any rights you may have under this License to any other person; any attempt to do so shall be null and void. (C) You shall use the room only for housing purposes and shall not permit any other person to use the room for any purpose without the prior written approval of PCA. You will be responsible for any actions of your guest(s) on the JAC premises – including but not limited to: your assigned room, shared space, common rooms. (D) Pets and any sort of animal are prohibited. (E) Agreement to this license means you will be present for the assigned check-in and check-out inspection appointments between you, JAC, and PCA. Should you fail to attend, the inspections will be carried out without your presence and any assessments will be officially recorded by PCA at its sole discretion.
7. Regulations
You agree to review and abide by all policies and regulations of PCA, its Office of Student Success, and the JAC that are or shall become effective during the License Period. These policies and regulations are included in the electronic handbook available on the registration portal upon course confirmation and, where applicable, any external provider’s handbooks or Welcome Guides and other publications distributed by and/or available at the Office of Student Success. If you violate any such policy or regulation, you will be subject to disciplinary action and/or termination of this License without refund by PCA, in its sole discretion.
8. Access
PCA or its designated representative reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, in its sole discretion, to enter the room without prior notice to you to make repairs; to inspect for compliance with health, fire, or building codes or with PCA policies or regulations; or because of any situation that PCA, in its sole discretion, deems to be a danger to health, safety, or property.
9. Condition of Premises
(A) You shall maintain the room in a clean, safe, and undamaged condition at all times. You will not permit noise or odors to emanate from the assigned space in such a way as to unreasonably disturb other residents, including those sharing a room/suite. You shall not store food so as to cause the infestation of the assigned space. You and any other persons assigned to the room shall be jointly responsible for cleaning and maintaining any kitchens, bathrooms, or other common areas. (B) You shall not alter the room or any furnishings therein in any way without the prior written consent of Paris College of Art. (C) When you vacate your assigned space, you shall remove all your personal property and leave the room and any furnishings clean and in the same condition they were in when you commenced occupancy, ordinary wear and tear excepted. You agree that PCA may promptly dispose of any personal property left in the room after the end of the License Period and PCA will assess cleaning, repair, and disposal charges. (D) Charges for damage to any public areas or furnishings, and shared spaces (including but not limited to: kitchen, showers, bathroom, common rooms) in the housing facility may be assessed, in PCA’s sole discretion, against any or all of those assigned to the floor or the entire facility.
10. Personal Property
PCA shall not be liable or otherwise responsible in any way for any loss of or damage to your personal property. PCA recommends students purchase insurance to cover their personal property. It is recommended that you carry property/renters insurance. Use of the laundry room or any other facility outside of your assigned space is at your sole risk or the sole risk of your guest(s), and PCA will not be liable for any injury or loss, theft, or damage to, any property suffered by you or your guest(s) while using such facilities. Any personal property left in your space after you vacate will be disposed of by PCA, and you will be charged for removal of that property.
11. Vacate Premises
You shall vacate your assigned space, and officially check out and return all keys, by the end of the License Period or immediately upon termination of this License. If you do not officially check out, and/or return your keys, and/or vacate the space by that date, PCA reserves the right to change the locks for the room, and not to allow you to enter the room or the facility in which it is located. You shall also be responsible for all costs and direct or indirect damages suffered by PCA in connection with your failure to check out and vacate by that date, including, without being limited to, the cost of accommodations for each person who would otherwise have occupied the assigned space and all legal and other expenses incurred by PCA in connection with removing you from the assigned space.
12. Miscellaneous
(A) This License is the sole agreement between you and PCA regarding the assigned space and may not be changed except by a written agreement signed by you and PCA. (B) If any provision of this License should be found to be invalid, the remaining provisions hereof shall continue in full force and effect. (C) In the event of a court determination of any PCA liability to you in connection with this License, the aggregate amount of damages to be paid by PCA shall not exceed the sum you paid under this License. (D) This License shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France applicable to contracts made and to be performed therein. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Tribunal de Grand Instance de Paris, for the resolution of any disputes arising hereunder. (E) Time shall be of the essence in the performance of each of your obligations under this License.
Housing Release Agreement (MINORS ONLY)
I, (name of the student), authorize(d) Paris College of Art to assist me in securing temporary housing on my behalf for the duration of the Paris College of Art Summer Program, from (check-in date) to (check-out date).
I understand that Paris College of Art does not own or maintain the summer residence and is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred to myself or my property during my stay.
I understand that, as a minor, I must be back and check in with the Resident Assistant by midnight at the latest, as well as remain in the residence overnight to respect the PCA curfew.
I further understand that I must abide by the rules and regulations provided by Paris College of Art and the housing provider, including but not limited to rules related to conduct and property damage. Failure to respect these rules and regulations may result in eviction from the property and/or dismissal from the program without refund.
I understand that Paris College of Art is not responsible for the supervision of the student outside of class time and attest to the maturity and independence of the student and to the fact that the student remains under the responsibility of their parent(s)/guardian(s) during their stay in the Residence.
