Drawing for Portfolio through Observation

What you’ll learn
Improve control and skill with diverse drawing materials; learn the essential vocabulary and grammar of the visual language (i.e., space, shape, form, composition, light & shadow, color, and chiaroscuro.); practice experimental and contemporary drawing techniques; develop ideas and works for your portfolio for submission to an art school or university.

Jardin des Plantes, Musée Rodin, Grande Galerie de l’évolution and other city monuments.
Supplies
While PCA provides the essential tools for the class to run, students provide their own supplies. A list of required materials will be shared on the summer student portal before the start of the program. Expenses for supplies are estimated at between €30 to €150.
Course highlight
Writing and discussing over a coffee at a café that was home to some of the great writers of the 20th century.
Prerequisites
Students should be comfortable reading and discussing texts in English
